David Warner reveals Steve Smith’s favorite grounds

Smith is currently preparing for the third Test against South Africa that gets underway on Thursday.

Steve Smith has carved a reputation for being among the most explosive cricketers in the world. He is a seasoned campaigner and has played in venues across the globe. He also has the experience of playing in grounds where the roars of the crowds engulf the stadium and in venues where the scenic beauty of the surroundings add to the delight of watching the game.

The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamshala, India is one of the most scenic stadiums around the world located at the highest altitude. The Newlands in Cape Town, South Africa is an attractive place to play cricket with fans coming out in big numbers to back the home team. The pictorial venue is also the host for the third Test match between South Africa and Australia which begins on Thursday.

Newlands- One favourite for Smith

Meanwhile, Steve Smith has hailed the stadium as among the three most beautiful grounds he’s played in around the world. He took to Instagram to reveal one of his favourite stadiums. Meanwhile, he also asked his followers to guess the other two venues. David Warner is one of his followers and he replied with the Sydney Cricket Ground, the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur and the Maharashtra Cricket Stadium in Pune.

Co-incidentally, Smith has been involved with all the cities where the venues are located. He was born and brought up in the New South Wales, Sydney. He also has played for the New South Wales in the domestic circuit and plays for the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League (BBL).  The cricketer has also an intimate relation with Jaipur and Pune.

The Aussie skipper made his debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the Rajasthan Royals, the home ground of which is Jaipur. He has also played a couple of seasons for the Rising Pune Supergiants and has also captained them in the erstwhile season of the T20 league. The right-handed batsman has recently been retained by the franchise for the upcoming edition of the tournament.
