Few social media accounts are as happening as that of Australian batter David Warner’s. From shaking legs on Indian songs to deep-faking and transforming into different actors, Warner ensures that his followers have plenty of fun each time he hits the post button on any of his social media platforms.

A family man to the core, his posts often include his wife or kids. In a recent Instagram post, the diminutive batting maestro expressed his affection towards wife Candice by posting a caption in Telugu. “Nēnu ninnu prēmistunnānu @candywarner1 #wife #love #bestfriends”, read his caption, which translates to “I love you”. Her wife was quick to respond as well.

Notably, Warner was a part of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League recently, which had to be suspended due to the rising number of Covid-19 inside the bio-bubble created for the league. Warner’s SRH teammate and wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha was one of the members who contracted Covid-19 and the tournament was indefinitely postponed on May 4th by the BCCI and the IPL Governing Council.

Warner returned to Australia

Warner was one amongst the 40 IPL-bound Australians, who all were struck after the Australian government shut its borders on India until May 15 in a bid to prevent the nation from any Covid catastrophe.

Back in the day, India witnessed an unprecedented surge in fresh cases with around 350,000 to 400,00 new infections being recorded every single day. The IPL suspension had left the Australians in limbo as they all flew to the Maldives as a temporary post until the travel by ban by the Scott Morrison government was uplifted.

In a recent chat with 7news.com.au, Candice Warner revealed that the time during IPL suspension for the family was difficult as they were worried about Warner’s well-being. However, she is happy to have her better half “back on the Australian shores”.

Meanwhile, Warner is keeping himself busy in quarantine by exercising and talking to family and friends over video calls.
