The 41^st match of the Indian Premier League 2022 will bring up the battle between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. While Delhi is currently holding onto the seventh position in the points table, KKR is languishing at the eighth spot with four losses on the trot.

Pant and Iyer have worked in coordination for DC in the last few years and would be quite aware of each other’s loopholes and bright spots. As far as leading from the front is concerned, both the players have not accumulated runs as per the expectations but Iyer still has a better story to narrate with 248 runs under his belt so far.

As the competition moves into the second half of the season, every victory will carry massive significance for the sides should they wish to grab a playoff spot. However, it should not be forgotten that one of them is the same side that reached the finale of IPL 2020 while the other did the unthinkable in the second half of IPL 2021 in the UAE.

The temperature on the day is expected to be around 32 degrees Celsius with around 56% humidity. There is no chance of rain but the dew factor will be in massive consideration and hence, bowling first looks the way forward. The Wankhede pitch has been conducive for batters with short boundaries but also provides even bounce.
