Kuldeep Yadav’s bowling impressed everyone as he made an impactful entry with the Delhi Boys. Yadav, who is playing for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2022, broke the Mumbai Indians’ opening partnership between Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan as he picked up the former’s wicket. In his first over for DC, he dismissed Rohit and gave his team the breakthrough that they were desperately longing for.

When the spinner came in to bowl his second over, he added another wicket to his tally when he dismissed Anmolpreet Singh for 8 (9). He turned the game a bit for the Capitals as Kishan did not leave any opportunity to hit the ball. In his final over of the game, Yadav sent the dangerous Kieron Pollard on his way. Tim Seifert’s stunning catch at mid-wicket to dismiss Pollard was something to watch.

The three powerful players who could have created destruction for Mumbai couldn’t face Kuldeep and had to thus give away on their game. The chinaman bowler finished his spell by taking three wickets and giving away just 18 runs in four overs, which included eight dot balls and an economy rate of 4.50.

Prior to joining Delhi, Kuldeep Yadav was a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders and served the team for eight long years. He was purchased by the Delhi Capitals at the mega auction this year for a price of INR 2.00 CR, double his base price.

MI post 177 runs on the board

Speaking of the match, Delhi won the toss and elected to bowl first. Mumbai Indians ended the first innings scoring 177/5, and Ishan Kishan was the best player for his side in the first half, while Kuldeep Yadav shone brightly for his team.

After the end of the innings, the spin bowler said that he had been talking about his game with Ricky Ponting for a while now, and had been working on his bowling since he joined the DC camp. He also added that he had been working on his bowling for few months now, and the hard-work is paying off.
