DD team survives air crash scare at the Raipur Airport: Constant travels is something implied to the Indian Premier League (IPL) teams fly from one corner of the country to another to play matches one after the other. While making their way to Raipur for their home game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, the Delhi Daredevils (DD) team survived a huge air scare at the Swami Vivekanand airport in Raipur.
The Indigo airline flight which the DD players were travelling in, making their way to Raipur from Mumbai landed on the same runway where another flight was already stationed on the runway.
ETV/News18.com reported a source saying, “Kolkata-Raipur daily flight was already standing on the runway when the Indigo flight coming from Mumbai landed”
The team has made its way to Raipur as they are scheduled to play two back to back home games on the 9th and 12th of may at the Shaheed Veernarayan International Stadium in the capital of Chhattisgarh.
Details from the team, organizers or management are still awaited, as no official confirmation has been made by the airport authorities or the DD franchise. More developments to follow.
