Dennis Freedman in the limelight yet again after trolling Sachin Tendulkar

One of the most controversial Twitter accounts presently is that of Australian journalist Dennis Freedman whose ambition is to repeatedly take a jibe at Indian cricketers in order gain popularity. This time around, Freedman, in his attempt to troll Master Blaster, compared him to a short Asian guy while standing with Maria Sharapova.

It was only a few years ago when the champion Tennis star, Maria Sharapova, refused to acknowledge the name of Sachin Tendulkar as Russians have an obsolete wisdom in the sport of cricket. This created quite a few headlines as the Indian fans were in denial of the fact that about one’s limited knowledge about cricket and one of the greatest star ever produced in the country.

The Indian cricketers featuring the likes of Virat Kohli, Ajikya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara, and many others, in their attempt to promote Swach Bharat Abhiyan, tried their hands on the broom and swept a stadium.

The Australian, however, took this as an opportunity to call the Indian captain Virat Kohli as a sweeper and received a substantial amount of flak regarding the matter. It was hardly a few months back when he posted a picture of him wearing a Pakistani jersey of 1992 World Cup, with ‘Sachin Who’ written on the back of it.

This time around, Dennis Freedman targetted Sachin Tendulkar while posting a picture of Sharapova with an anonymous Asian guy using the caption,”It was a pleasure to finally meet Sachin Tendulkar” ~ Maria Sharapova,” in his tweet.

Disappointed Indian fans retaliated to the tweet by claiming, “Sachin Tendulkar is the legend. He is the God of Cricket and he is a great sportsman too. Kindly respect him and you don’t have any right to make fun of him.”

“Height doesn’t matter if you are Greatest because of your achievements.So be in your limits,” replied another fan.
