MS Dhoni hasn’t played any form of cricket for almost a year. His last appearance was in the 2019 World Cup semis where he got run-out by Martin Guptill. However, despite his absence from the cricket field, he hasn’t gone out of the limelight by any means. That the now 38-year-old is a person of high stature makes sure that the focus remains on him and his whereabouts.

Recently, his wife Sakshi made her debut on Instagram Live and Dhoni’s fans became curious about what she had to say about her hubby. Sakshi, who tied the knots with the veteran almost around a decade ago, came live with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) along with host Rupha Ramani.

Apart from the fans, another person was excited after seeing Sakshi speaking on Instagram Live. And it was none other then Bollywood’s Alauddin Khilji, Ranveer Singh. The 34-year-old was among the first to comment on the live chat.

“Saks whats upppp,” Ranveer wrote on Instagram. He then welcomed Sakshi for making a debut like a firecracker. “First ever wah! Dhamaka debut,” he further wrote.

Ranveer, who rose to fame with ‘Band Baaja Baarat’, also starring Anushka Sharma, who happens to be Virat Kohli’s spouse, has come up the ranks. He is one of the most sought-after actors in the Indian film industry, having acted in movies like Padmaavat, Gully Boy and others. Currently, he is married to Deepika Padukone, who’s also a popular actress in Bollywood.

As far as Sakshi is concerned, she is spending quality time with husband Dhoni and their daughter Ziva. During her chat with Ramani, she spoke about how Dhoni has been keeping himself busy in the lockdown phase. Sakshi isn’t new to Instagram though and has posted videos plenty of times. Recently, she also got a tad upset after a hashtag by #DhoniRetires did the rounds on Twitter.

In her official handle, Sakshi wrote that people have become mentally unstable in the lockdown period. Later, she deleted the tweet, sensing some sort of controversy. For the time being, it indeed remains to be seen how Dhoni plans his future on the field.
