The first ODI between India and Australia was a great one from the fan’s perspective. The Indian middle-order stood like a wall between Australia’s win and India’s defeat. MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav played brilliant knocks to help the home team win by 6 wickets and take a 1-0 lead in the series. However, apart from the on-field action, a tweet from the BCCI grabbed a lot of attention.

It was a packed-house at Hyderabad and not everyone could get themselves match tickets. Thus, a few fans who couldn’t enter the stadium decided to stand on a tall wall and watch the proceedings from outside the stadium. This was captured in a photograph and the official cricket board shared the same picture on its Twitter handle.

Where are you watching today’s game from?

The fans who were watching the match were standing across a barbed wire fence. This signified a border and the BCCI’s tweet was pretty much relatable to the current situations. After the recent Pulwama attacks, the situation between both countries isn’t good. There have been firings across the border and the Indian government has been trying hard to put pressure on Pakistan to take steps to eradicate terrorism.

“Where are you watching today’s game from?” the tweet’s caption read. Therefore, some of the fans associated this picture with the current political scenario and thought that the tweet was intended towards Pakistan. Moreover, there hasn’t been much international cricket in Pakistan in recent times. This was another perception that was drawn as the Pakistani fans cannot watch a cricket game from their side of the border. There was a hilarious reply to the tweet from a fan.
