There was a time when Ravindra Jadeja was a regular name in the Indian side. It was not long ago when Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin were the two preferred spinners in the Indian lineup irrespective of the format of the game that the team played. Now, the team management has become more flexible in rotating the players across the formats.

They have shown faith in Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav as the two preferred spinners in the lineup. What this has essentially meant is that Ravindra Jadeja and Ashwin are being overlooked in the limited overs setup. Jadeja was not picked up in the India squad for the final two ODIs against Australia in the ongoing series.

On the day when the Indian squad was announced, Jadeja shared a very controversial picture on his social media handle. He shared a picture on his Instagram account wherein he is seen amidst the smokes. Well, the meaning is there for the fans and followers to decipher. The caption that he added along with the picture is quite controversial too.

Here is the post

It is very unclear as to what exactly is Jadeja trying to refer to. He wrote, “Had a really great “Night Out” last night, according to my police report.#rajputboy.”

Well, whether the reason behind his ouster from the team was this or something else, remains to be known. Earlier, he was not named in the 15 man squad for the first three ODIs as well. However, with Axar Patel injuring his ankle, the selectors had named Ravindra Jadeja as his replacement. Jadeja did not get a match to play in the series though.

He came in to field as a substitute players on quite a few occasions during the first three games though. The last time Jadeja played for team India was during the Test series in Sri Lanka. He had scalped a five wicket haul and had scored 70 runs in the first innings of that game.
