DJ Bravo and Adam Gilchrist wish Bollywood star Ranveer Singh a happy birthday

Cricket and Bollywood in India go hand in hand. The two biggest crowd pullers of the country often come together, especially during the Indian Premier League in which some of the franchises are owned by Bollywood stars. Tinsel Town heartthrob Ranveer Singh turned 32 yesterday. The ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actor is very fond of cricket and is often spotted at the stadiums. Apparently, he is also a huge fan of Sachin Tendulkar.

When Sachin’s biopic ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ was a few days away from its global release, the actor had uploaded a video urging fans to go and catch the movie at the theatre. Donning a Team India jersey, he also sang the Sachin anthem in the brief video. But not just Sachin, it seems that Ranveer shares a good camaraderie with many other cricketers as well. While Sachin reciprocated the actor’s love and respect for him by wishing him on Twitter, foreign players also did the same.

Former Australia cricketer Adam Gilchrist took to picture messaging application Instagram to send across birthday wishes to Ranveer. Gilly posted a photo of him with Ranveer, which can be safely assumed to have been clicked on the sets of a TV show, and captioned it saying, “Many happy returns @ranveersingh Have a great Birthday. On the other hand, West Indies’ Dwayne Bravo took to Twitter to celebrate the actor’s birthday by tweeting to him saying, “Wishing my brother @ranveerofficial a very happy birthday! @RanveerIsAChampion #Throwback to IPL opening fun” Bravo posted a video in which he is seen shaking a leg with Ranveer in IPL opening ceremony.

DJ Bravo’s message

Sehwag’s tweet stood out 

These posts make it clear that Ranveer has developed some great bonds with Indian and international crickets. Former India opener Virender Sehwag too wished the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actor on Twitter in a hilarious way. Sehwag posted a collage of Ranveer’s worst dressed pictures with a caption that said, “Happy Birthday dear @Ranveerofficial. Teri dress badi kamaal ki hoti hain yaar. Have a rocking year and life ahead. God bless you !”
