'Do something productive' - Virat Kohli's brother shuts troll with befitting reply

Indian star batter Virat Kohli recently became the first Indian to hit 200 million followers on Instagram and is now the third-most followed athlete in the world. His brother Vikas, who has over 135 thousand followers on the social media platform, was trolled by a fan for having very few Instagram followers, unlike his brother Virat. The former India captain is now only behind Cristiano Ronaldo (453 million) and Lionel Messi (337 million) in the list of athletes with most followers on Instagram.

After Vikas was trolled for not reaching even a million followers while his brother had 200 million, he shut the fan down by asking him to do something productive and not give unnecessary advice. 

The user wrote, “Bechahara bhai ka 200 million subscribers ho gya saale ka 1 million v nhi huya (Brother has hit 200 million subscribers and you don’t even have one million)”. Vikas replied to the comment, “Bache kuch productive karo… yaha gyaan mat banto.. (Kid, do something productive… don’t give unnecessary advice here).”

Kohli is ranked 17th on the list of most-followed Instagram accounts and stands at the top of the most-followed accounts in Asia. Vikas, on the other hand, is an active social media user, frequently posting clips of him working out with heavy barbells from the gym. He is also an entrepreneur and in charge of his brother’s venture, according to IWM BUZZ.

Kohli, following a below-par Indian Premier League (IPL) in the 2022 season, has taken some time off cricket and was last seen on a vacation in the Maldives. He is also not part of the ongoing home Twenty20 Internaitonal (T20I) series between India and South Africa, which the visitors lead by 2-0. The former India skipper has been struggling for form with the bat for over two years and was in constant criticism yet again in the IPL after he scored only 341 runs, his lowest season score since 2017, at an average of 22.73, his lowest season average since 2009.
