The ongoing saga between India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant and Bollywood actor Urvashi Rautela has a fresh twist after the cricketer wrote yet another mysterious message on social media on Saturday amid the controversy. Pant’s remark came after the actor commented that “little brother” must stick to cricket.

The episode between the duo began after Rautela narrated an instance in an interview, as she claimed that a certain “Mr RP” waited in the lobby for her during an event in New Delhi. Rautela could not meet the person after a long day’s work, and also had 16-17 missed calls from RP while she was asleep.

Don’t stress over what you cannot control: Pant

“I was shooting in Varanasi, and I had a show in New Delhi thereon, so I had to take a flight,” said Rautela in the interview with Bollywood Hungama. “In New Delhi, I was shooting a full day, and after about 10 hours of shooting, when I went back, I had to get ready, and you know that girls take a lot of time to get ready.”

“Mr RP came, he sat in the lobby, and waited for me, and he wanted to meet. I was so tired that I dozed off to sleep, and I didn’t realise that I had received so many calls,” added Rautela.

Urvashi presumably was referring to Pant; and shortly after her interview, the 24-year-old posted an Instagram story, denying her claims. “It’s funny how people lie in interviews just for some meagre popularity and for hitting the headlines,” posted Pant. He mysteriously deleted it moments later.

The actor hit back, with a post, calling “Chotu bhaiyya (little brother)” and asking him to stick to play “bat ball”. And Pant, in his latest Instagram story, wrote, “Don’t stress over what you cannot control.” Pant, although has been making headlines for off-field matters in recent times, he has been one of the best batters across formats for India over the last few weeks. He was last in action on the India tour of West Indies, and is set to take the field again for the 2022 Asia Cup in the UAE.
