India Red made it to the finals of Duleep Trophy 2017 after drawing their 2nd game against India Blue at the Kanpur. Baba Indrajith’s maiden first-class double century batting with the tail-enders helped India Red pile up a total of 383. Hanuma Vihari and Deepak Hooda’s century handed India Blue a 64-run lead but the washed out 3rd day due to rain meant the Suresh Raina led side settled with three points.

2 – Deepak Hooda now has scored a century on Duleep Trophy and Ranji Trophy debut. He is yet to play a game in the Irani Trophy. Hooda will be only the 2nd player after Sachin Tendulkar to score centuries on debut in all three Indian first-class competitions if he manages a century on Irani Trophy debut.

5 – Karn Sharma has taken 4-wicket haul in each of his last five innings in first-class cricket. His bowling figures in last five FC innings read: 4/48, 5/71, 4/39, 6/94 and 5/94 (in this game).

(Min: 50 innings) Cheteshwar Pujara (57.43), Steven Smith (56.92) and Fawad Alam (56.51) are the only players who made their FC debut in this century with a better batting average than Vihari.

178 – The partnership stand of 178 runs between Indrajith and Gohil was the 2nd biggest for the 10th wicket in the Indian first-class cricket. The highest is 233 by Ajay Sharma and Maninder Singh in 1991/92 Ranji Trophy.
