Popular condom brand, Durex, has possibly made the best out of the opportunity they saw to market their product following the most celebrated wedding of the decade. Team India skipper, Virat Kohli, is arguably the most popular cricketer in the world and was the most eligible bachelor in the country. He recently got married to Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma, who herself is a big name in the industry.
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma certainly make up the power couple. Their wedding has to be the biggest affair in the recent times to have garnered so much attention. The destination wedding took place at Milan, Italy on December 11. It was a private function and there were no announcements made regarding the same until the marriage was done.
It was only after all the ceremonies got over, that both Virat and Anushka announced their wedding on the social media sites. Needless to concede, the wedding tweet of Virat Kohli set the social media on fire. He broke the Indian record for the most popular tweet. The event was huge and brouhaha around it was no less either.
In fact, the wedding continues to make the headlines in the media in some or the other way. Amidst this situation, Durex saw it ideal to market their product as well. There have been bizarre reports about the couple’s honeymoon and Durex, for obvious reasons, looks quite interested.
