Elli AvrRam quashes the link-up rumours with Hardik Pandya

Indian cricketers dating Bollywood actresses is not a new thing now even as the Indian skipper Virat Kohli married his longtime girlfriend Anushka Sharma in December last year. Recently, the news broke through about the star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya dating Elli AvrRam who is a well-known celebrity in India after her participation in the TV reality show Big Boss, However, the actress herself has come forward and quashed all the rumours even lashing out at the mentality of the people for the same.

All the buzz started about the couple dating each other when Elli attended the wedding of Krunal Pandya, an elder brother of Hardik, in December. Her presence was a surprise for everyone and was also seen clicking pictures with the all-rounder. The rumours were fuelled even more when she was spotted at a party organised Aesha Dhawan, the wife of Shikhar Dhawan, on the occasion of their daughter Rhea’s 13th birthday.

Elli AvrRam was the one amongst all the wives of the Indian cricketers and her presence somewhat raised eyebrows of many.

People won’t believe me

The Bollywood actress, who has worked in the film named Mickey Virus previously, lashed out at the people who spread such rumours and felt that she doesn’t need to clarify anything to them. “Let them [people] be curious in life. Why do I need to clarify anything? By talking about these rumours, I’d just be giving more fodder for gossip [material]. Anyway, so many wrong things have been written over the years but I’ve never gone out and clarified [them],” she said while speaking to Hindustan Times on Sunday.

Elli also mentioned being a celebrity one has to get used to all these things and also added that she doesn’t want to talk about her personal life more. “Once you become a known face, people will follow you for gossip and news. But, we are not going to lock ourselves up. So, you can’t do much to stop these rumours,” she continued saying that people won’t believe any of her clarifications.

“People have such strong mentality that no matter what I say [about Hardik], they will be like, ‘Oh, she is lying. We know the truth. She is hiding something’,” the actress concluded.
