KL Rahul has hit the purple patch of his career. If his sizzling form in the Indian Premier League (IPL) was not enough, his two knocks against Ireland and England have proved it. The stylish player made a comeback into the national side across all the formats with his sublime hitting. He once again proved his worth by scoring his second T20 International ton against England the other night and earned the praise of MS Dhoni, the seniormost member of Team India.

The current bunch of the Indian team are no less than the fashion icons as they love to adopt the latest trends. While inking the tattoos on their bodies is not enough, they keep their fans busy by sporting new looks every now and then thanks to their different hairstyles. But when it comes to performing on the field, they don’t hold back themselves either and give their 100 per cent.

Dhoni reacts to Rahul’s ton

KL Rahul came out to bat at number 3 after India had lost Shikhar Dhawan early in the chase of 160 runs. He immediately hit the straps by getting off the mark of the first delivery and then launched an assault on English bowlers. No one was spared by him and were handed a royal pasting by the man in supreme confidence. He has just carried his IPL form into the international arena and it is working wonders for him.

His hitting was so sublime that even one of the best hitters of a cricket ball, Rohit Sharma, had to play the second fiddle to him and watch all the fun by standing at the other end. Rahul hammering the bowlers mesmerized everyone in the Stadium as he reached ever so close to his century in no time.

In the 18th over, when India’s victory was inevitable, Rahul tucked the ball off his legs and took a single only to spark off amazing celebrations from him and the crowd. He thoroughly enjoyed his knock and his teammates including MS Dhoni stood up and applauded him. There was also a special dab celebration from him which left Dhoni smiling as he clapped and went back into the change room.
