India was up against England on day four at Leeds and things seemed good for India till the end of day three. However, day four didn’t start well for the visitors as wickets started raining for the English side one after the other. After a long time, Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara were looking in good touch as they ended day three for India on a high.

However, Kohli couldn’t convert his start to a big thing and went off after scoring 55 runs. England was looking for a breakthrough with the new ball and the same happened with them as Olli Robinson trapped Kohli. Kohli who looked fine with his approach this time was leaving the deliveries outside off stump pretty well till the end of day three. However, a length ball with a little bounce took his edge and landed safely into the hands of 1st slip fielder.

Here is how Virat Kohli fell into the trap of Ollie Robinson

As Joe Root collected the ball safely, India knew they were in for big trouble. Kohli, who is struggling to make a mark for a long time now, gave Indians a sigh of relief when he crossed the 50-run mark but it was not long that he lasted on the crease. India already have a massive target ahead of them and they are still trailing by 115 runs (at the time of writing).

Talking about the match so far, day four didn’t start well for India as well settled Pujara walked back to pavilion after scoring good 91 runs. A century was even expected from him as he showed grit and determination at Headingley. As soon as well settled Pujara and Kohli went off, a lot got on the shoulders of India’s deputy Ajinkya Rahane but even he decided to leave quickly after collecting 10 runs. Rishabh Pant also followed the same line and threw his wicket in quick succession.

Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami are currently up on the crease and will try their best to avoid the innings defeat in the 3rd Test at Headingley.
