England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the national team squads for the upcoming T20I and ODI series against India. The two teams have currently locked horns in the rescheduled fifth Test that started on Friday (July 1) in Birmingham. This is England’s first white-ball assignment since Eoin Morgan announced his retirement from international cricket. The board also appointed Jos Buttler as England’s ODI and T20I captain on Thursday (June 30), just a day before naming the squads.

The major name missing from both teams is leg-spinner Adil Rashid who has been given permission to miss this series to make The Hajj Pilgrimage to Mecca. The three-match T20I series between England and India is set to commence on July 7 while the first of the three One-Day Internationals will be played on July 12.
