South Africa and India are battling out against each other in the second Test match at The Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg. In what has been an eventful match so far, both sides are putting their best game to the fore. However, amidst the ongoing match, something that has attracted the netizens is the verbal battle between Jasprit Bumrah and Marco Jansen.

The South African pacer seemed to be testing Bumrah’s patience. Jansen chimed in with a barrage of bouncers to dominate the proceedings against him. The Indian speedster also lost his cool and got involved in a heated argument with his counterpart.

The things seemed a tad bit tense and that is when the umpires had to intervene in order to settle things down. It is known to all that Bumrah likes to always give it back with the ball. And thus he might prove to be a great threat to the Proteas batter when they come in to bat for their second innings.

Jasprit Bumrah hits an impressive six off Kagiso Rabada

In India’s first innings as well, the pacer had come forward with a good cameo with the bat. This time around, he yet again tried to chip in quick runs for the side. While facing Rabada’s delivery, Bumrah got a top-edge and the ball went over the boundary line for a maximum. Post the six, the entire dressing room gave the pacer a standing ovation as every run was pivotal for India.

Earlier in the day, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane resumed the play in a distinct style. Both of them battled on the field under immense pressure and brought up their half-centuries. Both the batters were experiencing a rough patch lately and this innings came in as a big positive for them.

However, South Africa’s star pacer Kagiso Rabada showed both of them the way back to the pavilion as India lost two wickets in quick succession. Rishabh Pant then too departed early on while playing a rash shot. The keeper batter had to depart on a duck. His shot selection then led to many debates across social media platforms.

Meanwhile, here is how Twitter reacted to  Jasprit Bumrah and Marco Jansen’s feud:
