After bagging the series in the second Test match, the confident English side will take on New Zealand in the third and final Test match to be played at Headingley, Leeds between June 23 and June 27. The Three Lions will want to win the final match as well and complete a dominating series victory over the Kiwis.

The home side has ticked all the boxes and has done exceptionally well in all three departments of the game. Under the new leadership of Ben Stokes and head coach Brendon McCullum, England are trying to play a new brand of aggressive cricket and it was evident during the second match of the series. To note, England chased down a total of 299 runs in just 50 overs with Jonny Bairstow completely thrashing the Kiwi bowlers.

On a positive note for the Kiwi side, the batter Daryl Mitchell enters the final Test with two centuries already to his name. The right-handed batter fell ten runs short of a double hundred in the Trent Bridge Test. Some other batters, including wicketkeeper-batter Tom Blundell, Will Young, and Devon Conway, have also made some vital contributions with the bat.

Pitch Conditions

The Headingley wicket is expected to assist the pacers early on and the batters need to be very cautious while dealing with the new ball. Skipper winning the toss might want to bowl first and use the conditions to their benefit. The pitch might get better for batting as the game progresses.
