England’s home season begins with a 2-match Test series against Pakistan who were involved in Ireland’s historic debut Test last week. The England side had horrid time in their away tours in the Test format losing the Ashes 4-0 and the 2-match Test series against the Kiwis by 1-0. Pakistan, on the other hand, looks to revamp their Test line-up with youngsters after the retirements of their seniors.

21.56 – Pakistan’s win percentage of 21.56 against the Brits in England in the Test cricket is the 3rd best for any team. They won 11 out of the 51 Tests they played against England in England. Only West Indies (34.88) and Australia (29.51) have the highest win % in this format against England in England.
95 – Ben Stokes needs five more wickets for completing 100 wickets in Test cricket. He will also complete the double of 2000 runs and 100 wickets in this format.
152 – Alastair Cook has made 152 consecutive appearances in the Test format for England. The Lord’s Test will be his 153rd consecutive Test match for the three Lions with Cook in the playing XI. He will equal Allan Border’s record of 153 consecutive Test match appearances (for Australia) for a single team.
366 – Pakistan’s Test win over Ireland was their first Test victory in 366 days and their first since Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan’s retirements. Pakistan featured in only three Tests in this one-year span including two Tests against Sri Lanka in UAE.
2974 – Stuart Broad needs 26 more runs to complete 3000 runs in Test cricket. Broad will become the 9th player with to score 3000+ Test runs and take 300+ Test wickets when he completes the milestone.
5843 – Joe Root needs 157 more runs to complete 6000 runs in the Test format. He will become the 4th fastest England player to reach the milestone if he scored those 157 runs in the next four innings.
6980 – Azhar Ali needs 20 more runs to complete 7000 runs in his International career. He also needs to score 21 more runs to complete 17000 runs in his professional career.
9871 – Mark Stoneman needs 129 more runs to complete 10000 runs in the first-class cricket.
