The rains have had an impact on the ODI series between England Women and Windies Women as the last two matches turned out to be less than 40-over games. However, the hosts were dominant irrespective of the weather conditions as they defeated the Windies Women by big margins throughout the series. The T20I series too got affected as the first match was abandoned without the toss. The matches to be held in Northampton suffered due to rains over the week.

As a result, the game between Northamptonshire and Australia A to be played on Thursday was shifted to other venue owing to wet ground condition. After losing a chance of hosting two games of International teams, the County Ground in Northampton would be hoping to see clear skies on Friday for the 2nd T20I. The England Women are currently on a winning streak of six matches in T20I cricket and 13 across all formats in International cricket.

Match Details:

The 2nd game of the 3-match T20I series between England Women and Windies Women will be hosted by the County Ground in Northampton.

The match starts at 7:00 PM local time (6:00 PM GMT) (11:30 PM IST). The game will be live on Sky Sports Mix in England.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The County Ground in Northampton has been a high-scoring venue in Men’s T20Is over the last two years. However, the venue has been drenched by rain over the last couple of years which kept it under covers. This could affect the track if not enough dry conditions heading into the game.

Expert Advice:

Heather Knight can’t be a direct pick in T20Is like in the ODI format as she bats bit lower and is hardly bowling her full quota of overs. Stafanie Taylor has just recovered from an injury and hasn’t been in greatest of forms of late.

Probable Winners:

England Women are expected to continue their winning streak and go 1-0 up.
