Capturing the wicket of Virat Kohli is perhaps one of the most coveted experiences for a bowler. Thus, when Essex bowler Paul Walter dismissed the 30-year old Indian skipper shortly after he had scored his half-century. Walter, who plays for Essex was given the ball when Kohli walked into bat at number five on the batting order.

The Barmy Army watched as the 30-year old was in full flow as he smashed the ball to all parts of the ground. This would eventually enusre that he was honored by them at the conclusion of the day’s play. However, when left-arm pacer Walter began his run up, Kohli just about began taking his guar. The catch was claimed by Chopra at first slip. Although Walter began strolling towards the keeper, the value of the dismissal was certainly not lost on Walter afterward.

“I still can’t believe it,” Walter reacted to his wicket of Virat Kohli during an interview post stumps on Wednesday.

Virat Kohli certainly has a well-documented problem when making attempts to bat in England. In 2014, his issues with James Anderson bowling rather consistently in the off-stump line was something that caused Kohli tantamounts of problems. Such was the problems the last time that Anderson began claiming that Kohli simply could not handle the heat as well.

However, despite that, the likes of Wasim Jaffer and Virender Sehwag have come forward and reiterated the fact that Kohli does indeed have a chance of making it big this time around. This is also the first time Kohli is coming to England as the Test match captain and will be eager to ensure that the side gives a good account of themselves.

Here is the dismissal
