Zimbabwe and Pakistan are up against each other for the third T20I of the series. While the series is currently levelled at 1-1, both teams are trying their best to get a victory on their side to seal the series. In the third T20I, one major thing that bagged a lot of attention was a change in the final score of Pakistan. The visitors earlier posted 163/3 for the hosts to chase.
However, later, the score turned into 165/3 and now the Zimbabweans have 166 as their new target. The reason came up on the table a little later and it was, at 16.2 over, Mohammad Rizwan had hit a six but it was given a four by the umpire. During the innings break, it got corrected and Pakistan’s final score stands at 165 which means Zimbabwe have 166 as their target.
In the same manner, Rizwan’s score went to 91, who played a stunning knock for Pakistan. The batting order was well pushed up by their star batter Babar Azam who smashed a prolific half-century (52 of 46). Luke Jongwe who starred in the last match for the hosts again maintained his golden form as he picked up three wickets, however, remained a bit costly.
Zimbabwe off to a fine start against Pakistan
Wellington Masakadza couldn’t get any wicket for his team but maintained a tight economy of 6.00 to assist his team. Zimbabwe are currently chasing up the score by playing at 90/1 (at the time of writing). While Wesley Madhevere (53 off 40) seems settled at one end, he is being supported by Tadiwanashe Marumani (28 off 21) from the other end. Seems that hosts are off to a fine start and it will be a thing to see if they are able to get things in their favour.
After winning their 2nd T20I against the men in green, Zimbabweans turned the pages of history by making it their first-ever T20I win against Pakistan. One wicket has been picked by Hasan Ali so far in the form of Tarisai Musakanda who left the field after adding 10 runs from his end.
