The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has recently announced the squads of the Indian team for the three series which will take place at the Carribean islands from 3rd August. The tour will feature three series, one from each of the formats, with the T20I series marking the beginning on 3rd August and the two-match test series finishing it off, a month later i.e. on 3rd September.

Amidst these two, both sides will lock horns in three ODI games as well. The contest between the two teams is likely to be a high-octane thriller and filled with exhilarating moments as both the sides are of high-quality. The cadre of the Men In Blue which will fly to the West Indies to take on Jason Holder’s men in their own backyard has been announced a couple of days ago.

The names of the players were promulgated by the Indian chief selector MSK Prasad at a Press Conference in Mumbai. This was surrounded by lots of surprises and it also put a rest on many questions which had taken birth after India’s recently-concluded World Cup fiasco.

There were speculations of the Indian skipper Virat Kohli being sacked from the post of the captain of limited-overs’ side, however, the 30-year-old put a full stop on all these rumors and has continued to lead the side. Apart from him, resting MS Dhoni also became one of the highlights, as this might be an indirect way of resting him.

Apart from these, there were some other decisions like, continuing with 34-year-old Kedar Jadhav, giving another opportunity to Manish Pandey and not selecting Shubman Gill, which raised many questions. As a result, an annoyed Shubman Gill posted a Facebook status, wherein, he termed the chief selector MSK Prasad, “stupid”. Manish Pandey also replied to this post with a meme and tagged the BCCI in it.

The wall also witnessed some shocking revelations as the BCCI declared that they’ll be giving a sum of money i.e. “pension” in return to the Ajinkya Rahane and Ravichandran Ashwin’s services. While, the Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma, eventually said that Virat Kohli misses sensibility.
