The Indian team has recently had a fine season. Even though they lost the Semi-Finals of the World Cup 2019, the team has been in fine form since then. Post the WC-fiasco, the Men in Blue toured West Indies, winning almost every game of the series, barring an ODI.

The side then hosted the Proteas and clean-swept them in the Test series. The next challenge came in the form of Bangladesh, however, even they couldn’t manage to register a win on this tour. India put an end to the year by defeating Windies in white-ball series and were also the top-ranked side in the points table of the ongoing World Test Championship.

In this current year, the Virat Kohli-led side has hitherto gotten better off Sri Lanka & Australia. Currently, the team is facing the New Zealand side in their own backyard. In the ongoing T20I series, the visitors have won games from the jaws of defeat and have already taken an invincible lead.

Nonetheless, despite all these favourable outcomes, the India side is yet to sort out a balanced squad. The middle-order is still in a mess, the bowling line-up has yet not been sorted and the top order is changing every game. India is experimenting in almost every game in the lead up to the T20 World Cup later this year in Australia. It will be interesting to see who makes the cut for the mega event in the final squad in the few months time.

Kohli tries to troll New Zealand

Meanwhile, after defeating New Zealand in the 4th T20I with the slightest of margins, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli posted a status on his Facebook handle and equalized the Kiwis with Choke. Howbeit, this didn’t go well with them and the ace seamer Trent Bout went on to troll Kohli for his record in Semi-Finals of World Cups. Similarly, the Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant also compared his skipper with a clown.

In the meantime, Ravi Shastri, who was giving some hopes to Pant, received a piece of advice from Sunny Leone regarding the cause, which made Hardik Pandya nervous.
