Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni are indeed two of the greatest cricketers produced by India, and their records across formats are nothing short of jaw-dropping. The duo dismantled several potent bowling line-ups and guided India to numerous memorable triumphs. On top of that, they have been sensational captains, and many young Indian cricketers look up to them. Suryakumar Yadav also belongs to that category as he recently expressed his admiration for the two Indian cricket legends.

On Saturday, the Mumbai Indians batsman took to Instagram and invited his fans for a Question and Answer session. With Suryakumar being one of the most talked-about Indian cricketers lately, fans came up with several types of questions in the session. While some asked his favourite shots, several also shot non-cricket questions. However, it was his one-word response to describe Kohli and Dhoni that hogged the maximum limelight.

Suryakumar Yadav heap massive praises on Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni

Yadav, who made his Team India debut under Kohli, showered praises on the Indian captain by calling him his inspiration. On being asked about Dhoni, the right-handed batsman hailed the Chennai Super Kings skipper as a legend. Although Suryakumar has not played under the wicketkeeper-batsman, he did feature in a number of IPL games against him.

Meanwhile, Yadav has himself been an inspiration for youngsters as his cricket journey is all about hardships and being patient. The Mumbai-born cricketer has been one of the most prolific performers in the Indian domestic circuit over the years. He has also played several staggering knocks in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Mumbai Indians. However, he had to wait for long to don the national jersey.

Yadav eventually made his T20I debut against England earlier and shone immediately with a fifty in his maiden innings. The Mumbai Indians star was last seen in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, which was postponed midway due to the COVID-19 crisis. The gala T20 tournament is likely to resume in September, and Yadav indeed has a point to prove.

He played some brilliant knocks in the initial of the season, and an impressive show in the remaining competition could seal his place in India’s squad for the ICC T20 World Cup later this year. Notably, India will send a team of white-ball specialists to Sri Lanka in July for three ODIs and as many T20Is, and Yadav is all but sure to be a part of the squad.
