Fans follow CSK bus to their practice session for catching a glimpse of MS Dhoni

Mahendra Singh Dhoni landed in Chennai earlier today as he looks to return to after a lengthy period on the sidelines. He was received with a warm welcome by the Chennai Super Kings officials. The legend then went for his first practice session with the team and the fans took to social media to show their happiness upon his return.

Dhoni spent a considerable amount of time outside the field after India’s World Cup exit in the semi-finals against New Zealand last year. He kept himself aloof from the national team since then as he spent his valuable time with his family and also went for a stint with the Indian Army. But he is set to return to action in the Indian Premier League (IPL) starting later this month.

There have been a lot of speculations regarding his retirement from international cricket during this break. Although he has not featured for the Men in Blue off late, he is yet to speak on that issue. As of now, he faces the challenge to return to his full fitness ahead of the all-important tournament for the Chennai-based franchise.

IPL 2020 will be vital for MS Dhoni’s international comeback

This year’s edition of the cash-rich league will also be of more value to Dhoni as a good tournament might well open the national team’s door for him. India is yet to find a suitable replacement of the man behind the stumps, so he place in the T20 World Cup squad is still pretty much up for grabs for him and his inclusion would also add the much-needed experience in the side.

But for now, the man who captained Chennai Super Kings to three IPL titles will once again look to steer them to another successful season. The video that was posted on social media, saw the 38-year-old sitting in his favourite corner seat at the back of the bus as other teammates were spotted sitting in front of him.
