River Rine lost their previous game against New Star Club by a significant margin of 69 runs. New Star posted a total of 175 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs after they won the toss and elected to bat. Sangeet Das was the pick of the bowlers for River Rine with two wickets for 23 runs in four overs. In reply, River Rine could make only 106 runs and only one batter managed to make more than 20 runs for the team.
