Andhra will lock horns with Arunachal Pradesh in the 49th match of Group C of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy at the JSCA Oval Ground in Ranchi on October 19. Neither of these teams have really got the start they would have been looking for, as they have both their matches so far and occupy the last and second-last position in Group C.

Andhra had played off against Punjab in their last encounter, where Punjab won the toss and elected to bat. They had a fantastic match owing to the sensational form their batters were in, especially Abhishek Sharma, who went on to smash a beautiful century. They put up a staggering total of 275 runs on the board. In the chase, Andhra kept losing wickets right from the start. Although Ricky Bhui slammed a brilliant century from one end, he was not left with any partners from the other end as they lost the match by 105 runs.

Arunachal Pradesh had played off against Railways in their last encounter, where Railways won the toss and elected to bat. Railways started aggressively scoring at a rapid pace but lost a couple of wickets in the process. They had some sensational hitting in the end overs as they smashed more than 115 runs in the last five overs to slam 246 runs on the board. Arunachal, however, started very slow and had difficulty finding boundaries. They kept losing wickets regularly and lost the match by a huge margin of 127 runs.
