Karnataka had a completely different approach right from the start, as the opening pair added 73 runs in just 8.3 overs. The match did become a little more interesting in the middle overs, but Karnataka easily managed to win by five wickets.

Railways Women had played off against Sikkim Women in their last encounter, where Railways Women won the toss and elected to field. It was a match Sikkim would like to forget and move forward as quickly as possible. Being put to bat, they had a horrible outing as wickets kept tumbling and scoring just 23 runs; the entire team was back in the hut. In reply, Railways Women did not waste any time in chasing down such a petty total. They required just 2.5 overs and won the match emphatically by nine wickets.
