Bihar, in reply, lost a wicket early but had a sensational 137 runs stand for the second wicket. However, they fumbled towards the end and lost the match by just five runs.

Kerala had played off against Himachal Pradesh in their last encounter, where Himachal Pradesh won the toss and elected to field. Kerala had a decent start but lost two wickets in a rather short span of time. However, they had a good partnership for the third wicket owing to a good knock by Vishnu Vinod; they reached a decent total of 163. Himachal, in reply, never really came off to the chase as they kept losing wickets right from the start. A couple of batters got starts, but none of them could continue and were bowled out for 128 runs. Hence, they lost the match by 35 runs.
