Buffalo Blaster will lock horns with Royal Rhinos in the 14th match of the Tanzania Premier League 2023 at the Leader's Club Ground in Dar Es Salaam on October 28. Buffalo Blaster have won three of their five matches so far and is placed third in the rankings, while Royal Rhinos have won just two of their five games and are languishing at the bottom of the table.
Buffalo Blaster squared off against Chui Challengers in their last encounter, where Chui Challengers won the toss and elected to bat. They had a rather cautious start where they did not score too many runs but did not lose many wickets as well. They maintained the same scoring rate while having a brilliant finish to end up with 157 runs in their bank. Blaster started aggressively but kept losing wickets in the first half. However, in the second half, they controlled the innings well and won the match by five wickets.
Royal Rhinos squared off against Chui Challengers in their last encounter, where Royal Rhinos won the toss and elected to bowl. Challengers had a horrible start as they lost as many as three wickets in the first over itself, but then the pair of Muhammad Rizwan and Zafar Khan had a fantastic partnership which took the team to 165 runs in a rain-curtailed game of 16 overs a side. Rhinos had a comparatively better start, but they lost their way in the middle as they kept losing wickets without scoring much, due to which they lost the match by 59 runs.
