Dambulla Aura (DA) will lock horns with Jaffna Kings (JK) in the 11th match of the Lanka Premier League 2023 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on August 7. On the other hand, Jaffna Kings have played four matches where they have a similar record, but due to a poorer net run rate, they are in the third position.

Dambulla Aura had played against Colombo Strikers in their last match, where Colombo Strikers won the toss and elected to bowl. Dambulla had a slow start, scoring just 24 runs for their opening stand in 4.4 overs, but the second wicket partnership was a match-winning one which took the team’s total to 192 runs by the end of the innings. Strikers started off really well with a positive intent to chase down the total. They got a little slow in the middle overs, which cost them the match as they fell short of the target by ten runs, and Dambulla Aura won.

Jaffna Kings had played against B-Love Kandy in their last match, where B-Love Kandy won the toss and elected to bowl. Kings had a horrible start as they lost both their openers cheaply. The middle-order batters did try and score some runs, but they were quite slow, compensating for the early loss. They could only make 117 runs at the loss of nine wickets by the end of the first innings. On the other hand, Kandy started really well, and their top order looked in great form as they all scored significant runs. B-Love Kandy won the match emphatically with eight wickets and seven overs to spare.
