Delhi will face Tamil Nadu in the 90th game of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023 on Monday (October 23) at the Abhimanyu Cricket Academy in Dehradun. Both teams are placed in Group E this season. Delhi have won three out of four games so far and are in first place. Tamil Nadu have won two out of three games and are in second place. They are the only two teams undefeated in their group.
Delhi took on Karnataka in their last game, where Karnataka could make only 136 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Lalit Yadav took three wickets for just 19 runs in four overs for Delhi. In reply, Delhi chased down the target in 16.5 overs to hand Karnataka their first defeat of the season.
Tamil Nadu defeated Tripura by eight wickets in their last game. Tripura elected to bat after winning the toss and could make only 129 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Kuldeep Sen and Varun Chakaravarthy took two wickets each for Tamil Nadu. Half-centuries from Hari Nishanth and Sai Sudharsan helped Tamil Nadu cross the line in 16.5 overs.
