Riyan Parag shined with the ball as he scalped four wickets. His teammate Shahbaz Ahmed picked up three wickets. As a result, East Zone won the game by 88 runs.

South Zone played their previous match against North East Zone, where they bowled after losing the toss. North East Zone's batting decision didn't age well, as they were bundled out for just 136 in 49.2 overs. Kangabam Singh was their top scorer with 40 runs from 104 balls. Sai Kishore and Vidwath Kavareppa scalped three wickets each. South Zone chased down the target in 19.3 overs with the help of a knock of 87 runs off 58 deliveries by Rohan Kunnumal.
