Guwahati Avengers were up against Indore Knights in their last match, where Guwahati Avengers won the toss and elected to bat. Guwahati lost its opener Sanath Jayasuriya cheaply, but a good second-wicket partnership put the innings back in place. Anureet Singh’s brilliant finishing at the fag end of the innings helped them put up a decent total of 189 runs at the expense of eight wickets. Indore lost two wickets inside the powerplay, and it seemed their chase would go haywire, but a solid third-wicket partnership meant the ship was steady. They chased the total with seven balls to spare. The Knights won the match by seven wickets.
