They lost an early wicket, but some sensation hitting by Richard Levi brought them back on track. Once the tone was set, other batters were able to maintain it and scored a huge total of 193 runs. Hyderabad too lost an early wicket but similar to their counterparts, had a good second-wicket partnership. Fifties from Smith and Treego brought them very close but in a nail-biter of a finish, Giants came out victorious by just one run.

Southern Superstars squared off against Bhilwara Kings in their last game where Southern Superstars won the toss and elected to field. Being put to bat, the Kings did not start well, as neither of their openers looked good on the pitch that day. Losing two wickets rather early, they had decent partnerships for the third and fourth wickets to put them in a better condition. By the end of 17 overs, they had scored a decent total of 117 runs at the loss of six wickets. That is when the match was interrupted by rain, and the persistent nature of it led to the match being called off and ending in a draw.
