Glamorgan will lock horns with Kent in the 35th match of the Vitality Blast 2023 at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on June 2. Glamorgan have won two out of three matches and are placed in the fourth position in the rankings of the South Group. Kent, on the other hand, have been able to win just one of their three matches and are placed fifth in the standings of the South Group.
Glamorgan played against Middlesex in their last match, where Glamorgan won the toss and they chose to bat. It was a high-scoring encounter between the two teams, although it didn't seem that way at the start. With a very slow start, Glamorgan had lost two wickets just at the score of 17 runs. But an unbeaten stand of 187 runs for the fourth wicket turned the game on its head. Chris scored his century while Colin was just eight runs away when the innings ended. Middlesex had an awesome start to their chase of 239, with an opening partnership of 146 runs. But none of their batters other than their openers could contribute, and as a result, Glamorgan won the match by 29 runs.
Kent squared off against Somerset in their last encounter, where Kent won the toss and elected to field. Somerset did not start well on a slow and difficult pitch to bat on. They had already lost three wickets inside Powerplay, which was not made better later. However, their middle order did contribute and helped them post a respectable total of 154 runs by the end of the first innings. The pitch just seemed to worsen with time, and Kent had a much slower start while losing wickets regularly. A couple of their batters got starts, but none of them could convert, and as a result, they were bowled out within 15 overs. Somerset won the match pretty easily by the end by 13 runs (D/L Method).

Player Picks
Chris Cooke GLA | WK
Chris hit a fantastic ton in his last match, taking his total to 156 runs in three matches. He is a safe wicketkeeper as well and should be the captain of your side.
Colin Ingram GLA | BAT
Ingram was sensational as well in the last game, scoring an unbeaten 92. He has smashed 152 runs in three matches and could be another great option for the captaincy role.
