They set a huge target of 220 runs for their opposition. Sussex did not start well with the chase, losing both their openers cheaply. Tom Alsop and Michael Burgess played some good innings, but it did not prove to be enough. Glamorgan won the match pretty easily by 32 runs.

Surrey had played against Kent in their last encounter, where Kent won the toss and elected to bat. Kent did not start well, as they lost their first wicket in the first over itself. But a good second-wicket partnership steadied the ship. Although there was no big individual score from any batters, the whole team contributed, which led them to a score of 173 runs for the loss of five wickets. Surrey started brilliantly with an opening partnership of 76 runs. They lost a few wickets, and the scoring rate came down, which led the match to the very last ball, where Surrey clinched the match and won by five wickets.
