They were rather slow in their approach and could not rotate the strike. Adding to the queue, they lost wickets at regular intervals, and most of their batters had a strike rate below 100. They could only post 130 runs at the expense of eight wickets. When Emirates started batting, it felt as if scoring got easier. They maintained a much better scoring rate than required and easily won the match by six wickets with around seven overs to spare.

First Abu Dhabi Bank also went against Fly Emirates XI in their last encounter, where First Abu Dhabi Bank won the toss and elected to bat. After a small quickfire inning by Karthik, FAD seemed to enter a shell as the scoring rate dropped fairly. Even though they slowed down, they could not defend their wickets and kept losing them regularly. Eventually, they were bundled out for a mere score of 97 runs. This total was never supposed to threaten the Emirates, and they sealed the win by seven wickets.
