Hong Kong Women will lock horns with Nepal Women in the 11th match of the Asian Cricket Council Women’s Emerging Teams Cup 2023 at the Mission Road Ground in Hong Kong on June 17. Hong Kong Women have played two matches where they are yet to win any and are in the last place in Group A. Nepal Women, on the other hand, have a similar record and are third in Group A. 

Hong Kong Women had squared off against India Women’s A team in their last match, where India Women’s A team won the toss and elected to field. Hong Kong were put to bat, and what a match they had. They would like to forget this match and get ahead in the tournament as soon as possible. They had a horrible start, losing three wickets just for the score of five runs. They kept losing wickets and were bowled for a score of 34 runs on the board. Shreyanka Patil took a fantastic fifer giving away just two runs. India quickly chased down the total and won the match by nine wickets with around 15 overs to spare.

Nepal Women had played against Pakistan A Women’s in their last encounter, where Nepal won the toss and elected to field. Pakistan started horribly against Nepal, losing their first wicket for just one run. Their second-wicket partnership brought stability to their innings, but the wickets started tumbling soon after losing the second wicket. They could only reach a total of 87 runs at the end of the first innings. Nepal started off slow but steady and were going ahead decently. Pakistan started bowling some tight line and length, and although Nepal did not lose all their wickets but fell short of the target by seven runs in the end, and Pakistan won the match.
