Hubli Tigers will lock horns with Mangalore Dragons in the 27th match of the Maharaja T20 League 2023 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on August 26. Hubli Tigers have won seven out of nine that they have played and are at the top of the table. On the other hand, Mangalore Dragons have played eight matches where they have won and lost four games each. They are present in the fourth position in the rankings.

Mangalore Dragons had played against Mysore Warriors in their last match, where Mysore Warriors won the toss and elected to field. Mangalore particularly did not have the start they would have hoped for, but Rohan Patil played a good knock to bring them back on track. He was supported by a few other batters, which led the team to a total of 140 runs. The Warriors lost a wicket early but had brilliant third and fourth-wicket partnerships for them to win the match easily by seven wickets with 21 balls to spare.

Hubli Tigers had squared off against Shivamogga Lions in their last encounter, where Hubli Tigers won the toss, and they elected to field. The Lions tried to start cautiously but kept losing wickets without scoring runs. They had some excellent contributions down the order, which pushed the team to a decent total of 130 runs on the board.  The Tigers also lost wickets upfront but were sensible enough to score some decent runs in the middle to save the match. They won the game by three wickets.
