Misbah-ul-Haq starred with the bat scoring 44 off just 19 balls. The Giants started with the chase but never really arrived. Apart from their openers, none of the other batters could make a double-digit score. As a result, Giants could only make 64 runs for the loss of five wickets at the end of their innings. The Lions won the match by 35 runs.
