Italy (ITA) will be take on Ireland (IRE) in the second match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier 2023. This match will be played at the Grange Cricket Club in Edinburg. Seven teams – Austria, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Jersey, and Scotland will go head-to-head in 21 matches over eight days, in the race for two spots in what will be the biggest ICC Men's T20 World Cup ever, in the West Indies and the United States of America (USA) in June 2024.

Ireland will be led by Paul Stirling after Andrew Balbirnie stepped down after the team failed to qualify for the World Cup 2023. Ireland have a very solid squad and did well in the previous T20 WC in Australia where they had beaten England in the group stage. They will be the favorites to win this tournament and will be looking forward to it. On the other hand, Italy have plenty of players from the England and Austrlia domestic cirucit. Benjamin Manenti, Grant Stewart and Wayne Madsen are some of the players to watch out for along with captain Berg.
