They mounted a mammoth total of 211 runs on the board. Kings needed to start well if they wanted to chase this total down but they were unsuccessful in doing so. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals which stopped the run flow and they lost the match by 89 runs.
Southern Superstars squared off against India Capitals in their last game where India Capitals won the toss and elected to field. Superstars started slow and even lost a couple of wickets early. However, their middle order took responsibility and scored the majority of the runs. They managed to post a good total of 163 runs. Capitals too did not start well losing two of their important wickets early but Ricardo Powell stood his ground from one end as he brought up his century and won his team the game by seven wickets.
