The Knights looked in decent control of the chase; however, the match got quite interesting in the end, and the Knights were able to keep their calm and win the match by five wickets on the very last ball of the match.

Montreal Tigers had played against Surrey Jaguars in their last encounter, where the toss was won by Montreal Tigers, who had chosen to field. After losing a wicket early, Jaguars seemed to move forward aggressively ahead. In the middle overs, though, it seemed as if the run flow stopped completely, and they could finally score just 136 in their first innings. Tigers, too, had a good start, but they did not slow down too much in the middle overs, due to which they easily cruised to the target and won the match by five wickets.
