Madhya Pradesh (MP) will clash against the Rest of India (ROI) in the Irani Cup 2023 clash at Captain Roop Singh Stadium in Gwalior starting on March 1. Madhya Pradesh won the Ranji Trophy 2021/22 by beating Mumbai in the final by six wickets. They also topped Group D in the recent Ranji Trophy 2022/23 but lost against Bengal by 306 runs in the semi-final fixture. Karnataka’s Mayank Agarwal will lead the Rest of India, who top-scored with 990 runs from nine matches in the recent Ranji Trophy edition. Last year, they beat Saurashtra by eight wickets under Hanuma Vihari’s captaincy and are also the favourites to win this year.
