Netherlands will lock horns with Namibia in the 6th match of the Nepal Tri-Nation T20I Series at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on March 3. Netherlands have played three where they have won two matches while Namibia has won just one from their three matches.
Netherlands played against Nepal in their last match where Netherlands won the toss and elected to bat. It was a game they would like to forget and move on as soon as they can. Batters looked rusty and had difficulty going ahead. They were bowled out for a mere total of 120. Nepal initiated the innings explosively but they lost two wickets in the process early. They did not mind it much and kept going at a similar pace. The fourth wicket partnership worth 86 runs was a match-winning one for them as they easily cruised to the win by six wickets.
Namibia squared off against Nepal in their last encounter where Namibia won the toss and elected to bowl. Nepal did not start well with the bat but as the game progressed, they got better with it as well. Although they kept losing wickets at regular intervals they managed to put up 180 runs on the board. Namibian batters had a similar approach as they lost wickets early but got better as the game progressed. Skipper Smit’s fifty brought them back in the chase but as the game got to the ending it got more interesting. However, they fell short of the target by just three runs in the end.
