North West Warriors will lock horns with Northern Knights in the 5th match of the Inter-Provincial T20 Trophy 2023 at the Mardyke in Cork on June 8. North West Warriors have won both their matches and are at the top of the table. Northern Knights, on the other hand, have also won both their matches and are in the second position.
North West Warriors played against Leinster Lightning in their last encounter, where Leinster Lightning won the toss and elected to field. Warriors had a slower start to their innings, although they had not lost too many wickets. This was, however, changed by a solid fourth-wicket partnership. A good finish towards the end helped them post a strong total of 180 runs on the scoreboard. Lightning had a horrible start which only turned worse later. They had lost five wickets at the score of 29 within 6.1 overs. They never really recovered from it and were bowled out for 99. Hence Warriors won the match easily by a huge margin of 81 runs.
Northern Knights had squared off against Munster Reds in their last match, where Munster Reds won the toss and elected to bat. The match was reduced to 12 overs per side due to the rain causing a delay. Reds had a decent start which was carried forward as well but just did not reach to flourish even towards the end. As a result, they could post just 105 runs losing five wickets. The revised target, according to the DLS method, was 129. Knights seemed to have no problems about it, as they were off to a brilliant start and never looked back from there. Northern Knights won the match easily by seven wickets with eight balls to spare.

Pretorius has been the best player in the tournament so far on both ends. He has amassed 97 runs and five wickets in two matches and should definitely lead your team.
Trent McKeegan NWW | BAT
McKeegan has been bowling beautifully and has been scalping regular wickets. He has picked up six wickets in just two games and could be another pick for the captaincy role.
Avoid Having These Players In Your Fantasy Sports Team
Harry Zimmermann
NWW | BAT
Harry has played both the matches so far for the team but has been able to scalp just one wicket. He should not be included in your team.
